Trionic 7 (T7) systems:

Saab 9-3 from 2000 to 2002,

Saab 9-5 from 1998 to 2010
Saab B205E (9-3 2.0SE and 9-5 2.0SE). Stock = 150hp and 250nm of torque
Stage 1. Remap only = 220hp and 360nm (yes they really are that restricted in stock tune!)
The next stage requires either a) fitting a 3" downpipe (d/p) and sport cat which would allow mapping to 235hp/370nm or b) swap the stock GT17 turbo (and coolant line) for an Aero TD04-15t and map to 250hp/370nm.
The only proviso to this is that 1998/99 9-5 B205E models need larger injectors as well (the stock green injectors from 98/99 are smaller than 2000+ models which all have the same 280hp rated injectors).
The next stage after that is whichever option from above wasn't done previously i.e. if d/p was done then turbo swap and vice versa. This will then allow mapping to 270hp and 380nm.
The stock intercooler is the next limitation and upgrading that allows mapping for the last few hp from the TD04 turbo but will take the torque to 420nm.

Saab B205R (9-3 Aero). Stock = 205hp and 300nm of torque.
Stage 1. Remap only = 250hp and 370nm.
The next stage (commonly referred to as stage 3) requires fitting a 3" downpipe (d/p) and sport cat which would allow mapping to 270hp/380nm
The stock intercooler is the next limitation and upgrading that allows mapping for the last few hp from the TD04 turbo but will take the torque to 420nm. I call this stage 3+ because it's not quite stage 4 as most people know it.

Saab B235E (9-5 2.3t). Stock = 185hp and 280nm of torque.
Remap only = 235hp and 380nm.
The next stage requires either a) fitting a 3" downpipe (d/p) and sport cat which would allow mapping to 250hp or b) swap the stock GT17 turbo (and coolant line) for an Aero TD04-15t and map to 275hp/420nm.
The next stage after that is whichever option from above wasn't done previously i.e. if d/p was done then turbo swap and vice versa. This will then allow mapping to 295hp and 440nm.
The stock intercooler is the next limitation and upgrading that allows mapping for the last few hp from the TD04 turbo but will take the torque to 450nm.

Saab B235R (9-5 Aero). Stock = 250hp and 350nm of torque.
Remap only = 275hp and 420nm.
The next stage (stage3) requires fitting a 3" downpipe (d/p) and sport cat and also a Bosch 3.5 bar fuel pressure regulator (part number 0280160562 - genuine Bosch only please, aftermarket items will mess up the fuelling). This allows mapping to 295hp/440nm on a 2000-2005 model Aero and 305hp/440nm on the 2006 onwards (Dame Edna) models due to the larger "King" cobra intake pipe and short nose turbo.
The stock intercooler is the next limitation and upgrading that allows mapping to stage 3+ which gets the last few hp from the TD04 turbo and will take the torque to 450nm.

Trionic 8 (T8) systems:

Saab 9-3ss/sc/sw from 2003 to 2011,

Vectra Z20NET from 2004-2008,

Signum Z20NET 2003,

CadillacBTS 2006.
Saab B207E/L (9-3 1.8t/2.0t) plus all Z20NET. Stock = 150hp and 230nm (1.8t/B207E) or 175hp/260nm (2.0t/Z20NET)
Stage 1. Remap only = 220hp and 360nm (yes they really are that restricted in stock tune!).
On pre-2007 models the injectors are smaller than the Aero and 2007+ model year 1.8t/2.0t/Z20NET models so the next stage requires fitting bigger injectors and either a) fitting a 3" downpipe (d/p) and sport cat which would allow mapping to 230hp/370nm or b) swap the stock GT2052 turbo (and coolant line) for an Aero TD04-14t and map to 250hp/370nm.
Unfortunately the manual gearbox's clutch is only rated at 400nm so this would need upgrading too. Auto's are fine though.

Saab B207R (9-3 Aero). Stock = 210hp and 310nm of torque.
Stage 1. Remap only = 250hp and 370nm.
The next stage (commonly referred to as stage 3) requires fitting a 3" downpipe (d/p) and sport cat which would allow mapping to 270hp/380nm.
The stock intercooler is the next limitation and upgrading that allows mapping for the last few hp from the TD04 turbo but will take the torque to 420nm. I call this stage 3+ because it's not quite stage 4 as most people know it. Unfortunately the manual gearbox's clutch is only rated at 400nm so this would need upgrading too. Auto's are fine though.

Going Further:
A healthy B207 engine is known to cope with 350hp and 450nm of torque without any internal modifications. Going higher than this requires fitting forged pistons e.g. Wossner, Wiseco etc and possibly con-rods depending on how far you intend to go.
The limitation prior to this is the calibration of the stock MAF (mass airflow) sensor. This tops out at ~320hp but if fitted into a larger diameter pipe it can be recalibrated in the software for up to 560hp depending on size of pipe. It MUST be recalibrated prior to fitting in the new pipe though or the fuelling across the whole rev range will be wrong.

Custom maps to accomodate all of this are available on request.
